How Tropical Cyclone Forms

The first thing We have to know that where Exactly Cyclone forms.it is the area in the region of earth near to the Equator between Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. It is basically occurs in the Ocean region and Coastal areas.have a look on the picture below:

Mostly Cyclones are formed in those areas in the region of earth. Only these areas are responsible for all cyclones . Cyclones have many name depending upon the regions. Like near the South China Sea its called: TYPHOON . near Western Australia its called as: WILLY WILLIES . near USA region it’s called as : Hurricane. and in near India it’s Known as :CYCLONE.

Generally wind moves from High Pressure region to low Pressure region to fill the void area i.e the gap of area.So we have to know what is High Pressure and Low Pressure area?

Normally when the surface is hot then air moves upward direction occurs(low pressure). and the cold air is more denser occurs High Pressure.Though Low pressure Air moves upward and creates gap,High Pressure air moves to fill the place. This happens in case of atmosphere also.

Yes, you got the right.Means When the region near Equator gets hit due to direct sunlight, the air in sea level move upward and create low pressure. And the air from cold areas like Northern Hemisphere (north pole) and Southern Hemisphere(south pole) comes to fill the area in area near Equator. The wind from north pole moves towards right and the wind from south pole moves towards right and it’s create a circular motion. All these are happening due to earth’s Coriolis Force. Means earth moves from West to east direction. Though the middle part of the earth is so huge, so that the wind comes form north and south region gets bend.So its create a Circular moves.

When it moves like this, the middle part which is low pressure going upward and these cold airs are moving like circular motion and creates water vapors around it. And it end up with a Cyclone and covers a large area.it’s radius may be from 100km-300km. and the mid part (Low pressure) area is called “Eye of Cyclone”. it continues this process until Sea temperature gets down or until it hits the ground for the cold air.

Because till temperature is high, low pressure occurs and same process will continue. So there must be low temperature for Weaken the Cyclone.
